Love Hearts – An original watercolour hyper-realistic painting in the style and inspired by British artist Sarah Graham and her sweet collection
Girl – A hyper-realistic portrait of a passenger on the train in graphite pencils.
Turtle Exploration – For the recent project Aqua Marine a sketchbook was filled with marine mammals and items to produce lino prints from. These turtles above are in the medium watercolour paint providing numerous angles, shade and texture ready for the lino cutting.
Cornish Waves – An experimental acrylic painting studying the Cornish waves in all their glory.
Octopus Exploration – Numerous techniques used whilst studying Octopus for the collection Aqua Marine. These include – continual line drawing, detailed line drawing, watercolour painting, graphite pencil sketch.
Mark Powell – A piece drawn in Bic biro by Emily Southam copying the famous Mark Powell with his hyper realistic portraits – not complete.
Crab Exploration – A series of watercolour paintings and fine liner detail of crabs, these observations helped broaden the texture and shading ready for lino cutting.
